The Fiscal Conservatives of Hamilton County are proud to offer their endorsement to Mike Johns for Westfield City Council District 5 for the second time this year. Having defeated the incumbent and another candidate in his district during the Republican primary, we eagerly relish the opportunity to lend our support to Mike again!
Mike Johns grew up in Deerfield, IL and attended Northwestern University where he earned his MBA. In 2003, along with his wife Holly, they developed and moved to the 11-acre, 15-home subdivision of Bainbridge. Their two children and five grandchildren have joined them as residents of Westfield and the grandchildren go to (or will go to) Westfield Washington Schools.
As a realtor, Mike has worked for the past 17 years with Century 21 Scheetz. He has prior experience in the manufacturing and transportation fields. Formerly, Mike was the executive vice-president of the fifth largest moving company in the nation.
In addition to attending virtually every city council and APC meeting for the past few years, Mike knows what’s going on in the City of Westfield. He is prepared to address our rapid growth and is committed to preserving established residential neighborhoods by keeping out commercial creep. Mike is ready to vigorously pursue bringing high-tech manufacturing businesses to Westfield and believes he knows how to do it. He has proven to voters in District 5, who have passionate feelings about the recent Legacy Oaks PUD (formerly The Landings), that he will listen to his constituents and work conscientiously to negotiate results in the best interest of the people in this community.
The Fiscal Conservatives of Hamilton County believe Mike Johns understands that there are some complexities in Westfield that may be fragile. Should they be subjected to stressors, without the right people in place, our systems may become weaker. Mike knows the people he will be working with on City Council and has an appreciation for them. Together, they will work to make Westfield’s future stronger and make decisions that will impact residents with positive outcomes. Hamilton County Councilman At-Large (since 1997) and Westfield resident Rick McKinney says, “I am confident Mike will adhere to the best practices and highest principles of ethics, limited government and stewardship of the taxpayers’ resources.” We believe, without any hesitation, that he is the most effective candidate for Westfield City Council District 5.
Mike Johns is committed to Westfield and will provide a unique perspective that makes him the best person for this exceptional opportunity. Today, as a local realtor, Mike works in an industry where he predominantly works with women. In fact, the owner of Century 21 Scheetz is a woman and supports Mike’s effort for election wholeheartedly. Additionally, these women from Westfield (pictured) believe in fiscal conservatism, and those who can, will be voting for Mike Johns on November 5th.
